It is from a SIP scanner that is calling your ATA, probably because you have opened port 5060 in the router.
What ATA do you have, there is a few things you can do to stop it.

If i am not mistaken (not to familiar with your ATA) there should be an option in the settings to block these calls.

Is there way to block telemarketers?
Hi everybody!
I just got SIP settings and ported my home phone to FPL last week.
I use Obi100 as my adapter.
Here is my question:
We started getting more stupid telemarketers calls then it was with Bell (at least it's what it looks like).
Especially annoying are calls at midnight from some 111111111 number.
Is there any way to block such calls? May be there is a list of numbers I can copy into my Obi? Like black list or something?
Today I set Night Mode on my Panasonic home phone but still would like to know...
Thanks

These are not telemarketers, they are much worst (bots called SIP scanners). Read this topic: http://obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=5467.0 ; Method 4 (Oleg's) is the best, bullet proof; The other methods will work in some situations but not all.goldenmeadow wrote:Hi everybody!

I read about that method and trying to understand it. So if my phone number is 519-abc-defg, then I need to put {>1519abcdefg:ph} in Voice Services)SP1 Service->X_InboundCallRoute string? Right?
What exactly does this string do? Just trying to understand...
Then what about calls from local numbers? From people that don't dial 1? Will I get them too?
I guess I will just try and report back

I also read this post:
http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?p=44988#p44988
It says about changing port 5060:
I solved the problem by logging into my obi settings, (and in Expert settings) then go into Voice Services, then SP1 (assuming SP1 is for your default VOIP service provider), then in the setting: X_UserAgentPort -- take out the default 5060, and make up some random number greater than 5060 and less than 65535. Save and reboot. That solved the problem completely for me.
But then how will my Obi talk to FPL server, if server talks to 5060 and my Obi to some other port...
Sorry but I'm not really proficient in all this port stuff...
Thanks!

Yes, this is what I have: {>1289xxxxxxxxx:ph},{>1289xxxxxxxxx:ph2} (replace xxx with your phone number/I including the 1 and area code). All calls will work, including locals (try it). You don't need to change the ports (5060) if you use this method. As a note for OBI either use their on line settings or use local advanced mode not both (deregister the device if registered!), if not every time you log to online setting you will lose your local ones.goldenmeadow wrote:Thanks!adit wrote: These are not telemarketers, they are much worst (bots called SIP scanners).
