Hi,
I set up an account a few days ago and installed the softphone without problem. I opened the required ports on my router and firewall and I downloaded a port checker which confirm 13000 and 13001 are open. I seem to be able to connect with the server but cannot hear anything when trying to make calls. When I run the test program it says:
Status: Ready
Results: Call service is OK
Sound data transfer: Unable to send/receive sound data! Port 13000 should be available.
Possible reasons: NONE
So I am pretty stuck from here. I can call into the number ok but get no sound. I cannot call out. Can anyone help?

What does Shields Up! say about your port 13000-13001?
{Note: In future you can always use this to perform a quick external port scan
}
Get back to me, let me know.
If you want someone to make test calls with feel free to PM me, I'll supply you with my FPL number (It's gonna change soon as my number is done porting anyway

Re: Setup Problems
Hi Bloodsong,
Thanks for your reply. I ran ports 13000 and 13001 on that site and the results are as follows:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
GRC Port Authority Report created on UTC: 2010-04-01 at 02:17:34
Results from scan of ports: 13000, 13001
0 Ports Open
0 Ports Closed
2 Ports Stealth
---------------------
2 Ports Tested
ALL PORTS tested were found to be: STEALTH.
TruStealth: FAILED - ALL tested ports were STEALTH,
- NO unsolicited packets were received,
- A PING REPLY (ICMP Echo) WAS RECEIVED.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Does this give you any indication as to what might be the problem?

Re: Setup Problems
Sorry, had disappeared for a while, I got my config file and have been doing some testing.
Found some SIP Clients for Palm OS that are fun to play with
Good quality phones over my CDMA EVDO Rev A connection.
But soon I won't have that phone connection as I'm giving the number to FPL
Anyway:
Yeah reading Stealth suggests your port-forwarding wasn't working correctly, part of the reason I wouldn't trust a program that runs of my PC for testing forwarded/open ports.
Glad you got it working.
