New freephoneline desktop app failed on virus scan

Post by sheit »

Hi Freephoneline support folks,
Why I download your desktop app (Freephoneline-Setup_3_2_7.exe) from your site:
http://www.freephoneline.ca/login and go to App Settings>Downloads.
and getting virus scan alert and removed? The file is from "media.freephoneline.ca"

This is also report from here:
https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/d3ec ... /analysis/

Please clarify this? Are you spreading virus? Please fix it.

Hi there,

Thank you very much for your feedback. I can confirm that this is not a virus- that is the installer for the Desktop app.

Please post the full link that reports this a a virus.

I clicked on the link you provided earlier and I've got error 404.

Thanks,
sheit

I got my alert from Norton Antivirus Scan on my laptop and you can easily find above link from Google search with
"Freephoneline-Setup_3_2_7.exe virus"

What was the outcome of this report?

A friend of mine won't install your program with this kind of error, so have you been able to resolve it with Norton's virus scanner?
