Phishing Scam From 613-366-3692
Apparently I won a trip and if I wanted to claim my prize I had to press 1 and wait on the line. My call was transferred to another number im assuming, and some women with a thick accent answered and asked me to verify a few things, first being if I was over 25. I asked her where she got my number and she ignored me and proceeded to ask me the question over again. So I asked her again where she got my number, she then said have a good evening and hung up on me. Just warning anyone who gets a call from 613-366-3692 that they are trying to scam you.

Re: Phishing Scam From 613-366-3692
I can't believe it, but last night I got a call back from the same people, but from a different FPL number (613-366-8009) saying I won free air miles. I live in Ottawa and want to know if anyone else is experiencing the same type of phishing scam. Both calls I got were between 7 to 9 PM. I am going to keep updating this forum with all numbers that are involved in this scam to try and help FPL investigate this matter. The numbers are:
1. 613-366-3692
2. 613-366-8009
1. 613-366-3692
2. 613-366-8009

yes, one of my numbers got this call as well - although mine went through to voicemail. It was the Air Miles call.
Just remember the phone number could be spoofed and I think they spoof a number similar to the person they are calling on purpose. So your number is probably 613-366-XXXX. The reason I believe they do this is because you are more likely to answer a call with a number similar to yours, rather than a call coming for India, which is probably where the call is really coming from.
But yes, I have had a call like that.
