Is it possible to have the FOLLOW ME NUMBER set to a long distance number or international number? Of course, we would pay for the LD charge as needed. But can this be done if we were to pay for the LD usage?

Eventually, maybe. But currently no it is not an option. You may only set Followme numbers which are in our On-Net area, you can find this list here, or find the entire post, here.

no, only our on-net numbers can be added as follow-me, as admin said. Ie. only numbers based in cities we provide coverage in.

Sorry Pirate, currently the long distance and international offerings by Free Phoneline are provided by a dial-in gateway. The system is currently undergoing upgrades to allow for auto-matic pre-paid dialing, which will remove the need for the dial gateway and open up a new era of free phone line opportunities.

That said, check your PMs, there are several other VoIP related service offerings that can work in conjunction with your FPL account and like accomplish what you're after.

I just thought I should add in here, that the alternatives for long distance routing very in complexity, but it's safe to say all are more difficult than FollowMe.
