I'm not sure if anyone else has experienced this problem.
I have a situation, and I need some help. I’ve been using FreePhoneline for about 5 years now without any problems. I’ve recommended friends and family to FreePhoneline, and successfully configured their phone adapter without any issues.
On a unit that I setup 2 weeks ago, my friend called me (from her cell) and advised me that there is no sound coming from her handset whenever she place a call. She is on Bell (with a Belkin router) , so after confirming all the settings on the ATA and the router, I took the phone adapter to my house and tested it on my network (ISP : Teksavvy ). Same problem on my network, no sound from the phone set, but the party on the other end can hear me clearly.
I tested her SIP account on my phone adapter (with settings unchanged) and had the same problem, no sound on hand set.
I tested my account on her phone adapter (with settings unchanged) and all tested OK, so her phone adapter and settings are fine.
So I suspect there is an issue with her setup on Fongo’s end.
I've sent an email to support@Freephoneline.ca, and I'm awaiting their response.
Any other suggestion while I wait is greatly appreciated?
