Custom caller ID
How about custom caller ID feature whenever you guys launch the new online payment system?
Pay $10 and choose 'other' number (you own) as your caller id?
$10 x 80,000 users....and if half signs up....wow....!

Re: Custom caller ID
Do you mean you would pay once to own another DID which just basically just a placeholder?
Any other way of doing it - Spoofing caller id etc... Is now against CRTC rules and reg.

Re: Custom caller ID
I mean spoofing caller ID to another number I own.
Please provide a link to CRTC ruling that says it's against their regulations. There was a bill in the US regarding this but it hasn't been passed yet. There was nothing about it Canada.
Spoofing caller ID is not illegal on it's own. Spoofing caller ID to do something illegal is ofcourse illegal.
Doesn't matter, plenty of other providers offer the service and my money will go to them.

Re: Custom caller ID
unfortunately if we don't own it, we can't show it. It would be classified as spoofing on our part, and we get in troublezombie999 wrote:I mean spoofing caller ID to another number I own.

Re: Custom caller ID
Well, spoofing should be showing the number that is not belong to user.
This should be allow by to verify the number (call back the number and verify pin) like most other provider do.
It's make it easy "one number for all"
Cheers,
Sukasem

Re: Caller ID Spoofing
Actually, NO.... there aren't too many sites that are better and EASIER than these two that I found... (www.telespoof.com) and (www.spooftel.com)... These two are probably the easiest and most user friendly compared to the other ones I seen. Which ones do you think are better?
