I'm very new to FPL ... just signed up last week - but have been on holidays since ... and haven't had a chance to follow through on the purchase of the ATA & config file.
well ... it's time now - as I'm looking to setup everything in the house ... only problem is ...
1. how do I order the Linksys ATA & Configuration file? is there a link? something I can review? or do I just call in? maybe I'm lost ... but I can only find reference to the hardware in the FAQ.
2. if I wanted to sign up a second number - do I need a second ATA (or can I just use the linksys - since it's a 2 line) ... do I need a second config file?
Probably a stupid question (x2) ... but ...

Just give us a phone call when you're ready to order: www.freephoneline.ca/contactUs
Note that we're using Grandstream ATAs now, but if you specifically require two-line functionality then make it clear to the sales agent that you will need a Linksys ATA (we still have some limited stock around and they could tell you if we can still provide one.
This way, you will only require one ATA and two config files (since you want to have two lines)

thanks for the quick reply - I will definitely call today to get the Linksys - if there aren't any left can I purchase the linksys from a third party and use the config file from FPL?

Of course you may. Our configuration file is usable with any device that is SIP compatible, even though we may not provide technical support for it; it would then be up to you to get your own means of support for that device be it this forum or another means.

oh ... and one other 'stupid' question ... what features do you get when you purchase the configuration file? call waiting? call display? voicemail?

You get all that stuff with the free version also. Freephoneline is pretty full featured. They seriously put Bell to shame!
