I am make a call locally and it works, but I try to call Montreal (from Ontario) and it doesn't work. I also noticed, we can't call 800 or 877 numbers?

Hello, I am new to this program. I was reading that we can make free long distance calls to the selected cities. Correct?
I am make a call locally and it works, but I try to call Montreal (from Ontario) and it doesn't work. I also noticed, we can't call 800 or 877 numbers?

I had to find out if dialing 1 8xx numbers worked. They do. If the 1-8xx number does not work , the other end that is paying the bill might be blocking Fongo for some reason. Example, a US company only accepting toll free calls from US numbers.
You should be able to call major Canadian cities for free. Just dial 1 (xxx) xxx-xxxx and it should go through. There might be new exchanges that Fongo does not have updated yet, and that could be the reason you cannot get though as a local call. Usually a chat with customer support will get that exchange updated.
