Need help activating

I live in ottawa, but I'm using a magicjack for a home phone, which has an american phone number.

I was trying to activate freephoneline to get a canadian phone number for people to call me at but it will not let me activate due to my activation phone number being American.

Use your cellphone number if you are really in Canada...you probably have one as it is very, very hard to believe nowadays that there is no single cellphone in a given household.

I read somewhere (sorry but I do not have the link) that people from the US are trying to get an FPL number by using an alibi that sounds the same as yours.

Yeah - you will have to provide a valid Canadian phone number and address during registration.

As we are a Canadian only service, this is one way of verifying that you are in fact in Canada. Talk to a friend maybe?
