Re: asks to accept 911 agreement daily
Lots of changes are underway in the certification process which will change the way we have traditionally done things.
This pop-up will happen each time the softphone is started now and is the start of a few changes that will make 911 more accessible to our customers.
There are too many customers moving around and not changing their address right now, causing huge problems with 911 dispatching. Hopefully with a small reminder each time the softphone is started, people will remember this very important part of our service - as it is very different than a landline since your house doesn't constantly change locations!

I'll also add, this is not to 'accept' it, if you see at the bottom it only says "Ok" - It is in conjunction to what Steve said above, to prevent people from disregarding the ToS.

pete_fpl, which software phone are you using.
The beta is what we are talking about here, the latest stable release however does indeed that the "I Accept" & "Decline" option, however they do (or should) only show up once, if not - This needs to be addressed and we will do so asap.

Re: asks to accept 911 agreement daily
the one i'm using looks like the one on the main page - i'm not sure if that is the beta or not. it shows up every single day, also "caller info" i entered disappears daily as well. it's almost like the software starts from scratch when i start it up.

Oh ok! That one isn't the betapete_fpl wrote:the one i'm using looks like the one on the main page - i'm not sure if that is the beta or not. it shows up every single day, also "caller info" i entered disappears daily as well. it's almost like the software starts from scratch when i start it up.

and it definitely shouldn't happen on that one!
Have you tried completely reinstalling the softphone? I know it's "the" common question to ask, but a lot of people do miss it and find this step will cue their problems!

Re: asks to accept 911 agreement daily
It's tricky, because my next step is to say install the latest beta. However, the 911 window will always open alongside the launch of the new softphone as we're having to take a bigger stance on the importance of this.
If you can live with that, it's no different than what you'll eventually have with newer versions of the softphone once we drop support for that one. If not, then also try a java+softphone reinstallation since the softphone is java based.
