Dial string

Post by julienvf »

Hi, what is the dial string to use with our own hardware? I browsed your forums and can't find it anywhere.

We recommend this one: (911|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|1xxxxxxxxx|110xxxxxxxxxxxx|98*|[6-7]x*xxxxxxxxxxx}

I put the recommended dial string in my Linksys pap2t-NA and I would get a busy signal anytime I dialed out. I went back to the default string and it worked fine. Is there something I missed?

(911|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|1xxxxxxxxx|110xxxxxxxxxxxx|98*|[6-7]x*xxxxxxxxxxx)

1. (911|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx <-- Self explanatory, 911, regular dial...

2. 1xxxxxxxxx <-- Negates the need to dial a "1"

3. |110xxxxxxxxxxxx <-- Enables international dialing (with the international LD package

4. |98*| <-- Voicemail

5. [6-7]x*xxxxxxxxxxx) <-- *67, *98, *69, etc... When they are available.

in the dial plan

|98*| why the * is after 98, i think to access the voicemail we dial *98 ?

same for the *67, *69.... the * is after the [6-7]x

you said when available? are they available, i mean does it depends onthe dialed number or just FPL ?

We will always send out CNAM and CID - *67 is support yes, which will block your CNAM and CID (also needs to be enabled on your device). *68 I'm not clear on what you want to do with this one, but I can tell you *69 'Last Number Called' is not a feature we currently offer.
