Hi
I am seeing a problem with my setup. If I try to dial my freephone number from my cell by doing the usual 289-xxx-xxxx the phone will not ring and go to voice mail.
If I dial 1289-xxx-xxxx then it works.
how do I fix this? It hard for someone who doesn't know this to dial me and be able to actually get through even locally.
Is there something in the dial string that needs to be changed or am I missing a setting on the setup?
I am using a Cisco SPA112 with only 1 line right now.
can only recieve incoming call from cell if i dial 1289xxxx

Re: can only recieve incoming call from cell if i dial 1289x
If this is for inbound calls, then the problem is outside of your control. Either the phone company for your cell thinks your number/exchange is long distance, or there is a routing problem at freephoneline. If the voicemail it goes to by dialing 289-xxx-xxxx is your freephone voicemail, then I would say it is almost certainly a routing issue with them. If that is the case, I would suggest opening a support ticket with freephoneline.
