Fongo app full-duplex performance

Post by grovepark »

I posted the question on the previous thread but different title, so I'd like to repost it in here with the correct topic hopefully to get some answer.

I have 2 samsung gio's (gio1 and gio2) using Fongo app with latest version.
If I made a phone call from gio1 to another cell phone (Bell carrier), the full-duplex mode seemed ok, not perfect but acceptable (8 in scale of 1 to 10).
The same performance of full-duplex with gio2.

However, if I made a phone call from gio1 to gio2 (both using Fongo) the full-duplex performance is horrid (3 in a scale of 1 to 10). The music played on gio1 became choppy when I listened on gio2 and talking at the same time. I wonder if anyone has seen this phenomenon or is it just me?

Note: My router is dd-wrt with QoS active and speed 11Mbps down/ 600 Kbps up. No other device operated during phone call.
To test the full-duplex, I let the an MP3 device play music on gio1 and myself listening and talking at the same time on gio2.

I don't know what could be your problem, but I did see this FAQ that might change something. http://support.fongo.com/entries/256629 ... -AOSP-ROMs
Although I did look on my phone and couldn't see this option.

Both of my phones use stock rom but rooted. But it's a good link you provided although not exactly associated with full duplex.

The setting is Fongo setting, now I know what's the setting for, it may become handy.
