Re: Superspeed DSL
I'd been wondering the same thing, I'd seen a thread come up about this over @ DSLreports.
I'd emailed support previously to ask about this internet offering, if it's just a bog-standard GAS service or if they're actually offering their own colo'd-ADSL 2+ and speeds greater than 5 meg.
If it's actually the kind of service that folks in KW (ADSL 2+ 10meg service) are getting through Yak's resold fibernetics DSL then I'm sold!

Re: Superspeed DSL
Yes please tell us, what is your super speed and at what price.
There's a lot of competition out there and for just $1,00 more a month people aren't ready to change. Although it would benefit FPL to have more people buying there internet I suggest to at least have same price as competition.

Re: Superspeed DSL
Superspeed DSL speeds will vary based on location.
In areas where we can use our own Fibernetics network, then speeds will be 10+mbps. This includes Kitchener, and very soon a few more cities too! Be sure to ask about this when you're signing up though, as I'm not sure how sign-ups are working for our colo network.
In areas where Fibernetics doesn't have our colo service available, then it will be 5mbps DSL.

Re: Superspeed DSL
why can't it be Ottawa...
10mb would be perfect. but thats if i could get the 10mb altogether. why does DSL have to suck.
Do you know if theres a 30 day trial or refund?

Re: Superspeed DSL
I'm most definitely interested if it's DSL through fibernetics.
Other than KW, are there many other areas setup like that?
I'm leery of asking a sales rep on the phone whether the Belleville CO is setup that way, since most sales reps at most companies will tell you whatever you want to hear regarding speeds and service just to get your CC#.

Re: Superspeed DSL
Pfiou! Luckily the forum. I was looking for it and also saw unlimited but the 60GB is on the french page: http://www.freephoneline.ca/fr/optionalServices where $19,95 is written in big (last box).
So great then it's unlimited. That will make it even easier to get subscribers here and those revenues will pay for the possible implementation of the phone service here in Hawkesbury (you guys are very lucky to have Jody as the top boss. He's quite very nice and reasonable).

Re: Superspeed DSL
Thanks for pointing that out! Seems someone forgot to change the translation on the French version of the website. I've sent this off to be corrected.callopsitte wrote:Pfiou! Luckily the forum.
