Smiley Bar

I think Fongo is swell,

I was wondering if you could think about making the smiley bar, which takes up 10% of the text typing screen, optional. I don't mean to be dickish, but some of us who use Fongo are not hip teens/Japanese girls who just lol themselves to death over this sort of cutesy ridiculousness. I would even pay money to have this emoticon bar taken out. It is more obtrusive and irritating than the banner ads.

I will start a Twitter campaign over this, and see where it gets me.
