Porting Speakout Number to FPL

Post by mjbad2 »

I have speak-out 416 number for last two years. Is it possible to port that to FPL?
What details do FPL need? procedure for porting?
DO I have to Buy config file or can use softphone with ported number?
How many days it might take?

Thanks in Advance.

Yes you can port it over, since we have coverage in Toronto

You'll need your most recent bill and a completed copy of our LOA (which you will get from your sales agent).

A config file is required to be purchased when porting a number.

It can take a maximum of 3 weeks to get the number over to us once correct paperwork has been received and submitted.

Thanks for info.

But speak-out don't have much info like sales/invoices or monthly bills. They just have security code for your account.
Now what?

I would strongly suggest you talk to a Speakout CSR. Once your Speakout number is ported, your Speakout SIM get invalidated. You can talk to a Speakout CSR and set it up so that does not happen.

Even if you have no use for the Speakout service, there is a sellers market for for valid Speakout SIMs. You can easily get $25 for it. http://www.speakoutwireless.ca/speak/

It would cost you around $75 to port a number to freephoneline. $50 for the SIP settings, and $25 for the porting fee.
