Hi,
I noticed that my device losing connection every few days, I have to disconnect it from power for about 10-15 minutes and reconnect - then everything works. Is there any way to fix it ?
Cheers.

Re: Device losing connectivity
I have the same problem and have been experiencing it for several months
I am on Bell Fibe network.
I found a temporary solution: access the device setting, alternate the SIP server between voip.freephoneline.ca and voip2.freephoneline.ca. However this is getting annoying as I have to do it at least twice a week.
Support, can you help?

Re: Device losing connectivity
I have almost 3 months now of uptime, but on beginning I had the same problems.
Probable cause:
1. You don't have the proper timers setup (3600 for disconnection for example, check the settings). These are NOT default timers in any ATA. Wrong timers (to short) will trigger the banning of your device in the system after a few days of use.
2. Problem with your router. My old router could not keep a connection for very long. My up time was at best one week. Changing the router solved the problem (you also may try some router specific settings, for me nothing worked).
3. Your ATA itself. Try upgrading to the latest firmware.
I heard about ISP specific problems but I did not have them (Bell FTTN network but using third party ISP)

Re: Device losing connectivity
PS - Speaking about timers you MUST use the maximum values. If it say 120-3600 you must use 3600 (anything shorter will get you banned).

No dial tone after a while, how to find a permanent solution
Sometimes when I pick up the phone there is no dial tone and I have to unplug and replug in the ATA in order to get my phone to be working again.
I am using a Linksys PAP2T and I am on the $50 paid plan.
Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Re: Device losing connectivity
Dial tone is generated by your ATA even if not registered to any server. No dial tone means something wrong with your ATA.
