Hi,
For the last 2 years for two years, I've been using FPL with no problems in the GTA. My set up was an OBI100 ATA with freephoneline.ca as SP1 and Google Voice as SP2. The service was with Bell using the 2Wire modem/router.
Last week, I switched from Teksavvy Cable Internet. I'm now using the Thomson DCM476 Modem (STAC 2.50 firmware) connected to a Linksys Compact Wireless-G WRT54GC router.
When I reboot the OBi100, the freephoneline service works for the first 5-10 minutes. After that, it's impossible to call my FPL number as there's no ring and the caller hears a fast beep (fast busy signal). The Google Voice on SP2 has no problems operating. I can reach my OBI using the obitalk network.
I'm also managing my dad's OBI110 on my obitalk portal account, and his settings are identical to mine, but his service has no problems. He's in Ottawa using Bell Fibe.
I read on other posts that I need to forward ports, but other users say it's unnecessary.
Any idea of what a fix for this could be?
Thanks!!

Please try this:
1.Reset OBI to factory defaults
http://www.obihai.com/faq/Troubleshooti ... tory-Reset
3. Add device to Obi portal
4. Select Freephoneline as a provider
5. Enter your name, sip user id and sip password
Name: "Your caller ID name"
User: "your sip user ID"
Pass: "your sip password"
6. click on submit
7. After 2 minutes, your device will be configured
Test the line and let me know.
Thanks,

Re: Issues with FPL and Teksavvy
Based on a recommendation from Mango on another forum, the following appears to have solved the problem:
Voice Services >> SP1 Service >> SP1 Service:
X_KeepAliveEnable: (Checked)
X_KeepAliveExpires: 15
A NAT hole on my router was closing, and this prevents it from doing so.

Glad you got this working, however, the value should be 20 not 15.
