Softphone and features

Post by Paul777 »

A few suggestions for Softphone and features... A way to import Outlook contacts into the Softphone would be great. It would save typing all contacts over again and maintaining them as well. A plug-in for Outlook so it integrates seemly would be even better (ie: open Outlook, click on a contact, have ability to phone them with a click).

Thanks Paul, that's a really good idea, I'll pass it along to the programmers.

That is a great feature, what we are hoping to accomplish soon and are working on now is a video application for our softphone for video confrencing.
Another idea we have is SMS capabilities for our softphone and portable SIP clients for the Blackberry and iPhone.

Any other ideas feel free to post here or email me.

Thanks

Please provide a SIP client for Nokia Phones. I bought Nokia E63 and Freephone line config file to use this cellphone as my free phone line phone, but i am not able to get past the "Connection error" message using nokia sip client. other clients like Fring works but very poor voice quality.I use SIP sorcery and in it my outgoing calls have problem that other person cant hear my voice.
Man i spent $300 on phone and config file and nothing is working right now.
Please make a working SIP client for Nokia phones.

Thanks

Keep this up and you'll be asking FPL or its partners to start a cellular company... 3G+ or 4G, or HSDPA etc. And support only VoIP/Data calls on Smartphone/ VoIP Cell appliances...

Alright maybe that's just my dream, *Buys an Open Moko Freerunner, Plugs in FPL Simcard, purchases 30days access* :P

Anyway...

I love the idea of outlook integration, would be interesting to see, with the C+ based softphone and Video Conferencing/VoIP if someone decides to implement this.
I'm imagining an addition to the Outlook schema so that you'd have "Phoneline" as one of the side bar options (Where you see your accounts, calendars, tasks etc.)
Click on phoneline and Pane1=Contact list Pane2(reading Pane)= Active Call + Video on/off

I'll take all of these down and pass them to our Director Marketing Services, as for the cellular - I've been thinking about buying out Fido, maybe I can find some pocket change around the house. :geek:
