How many people have been lied to by FPL

Post by callopsitte »

It'd be nice to have a number of people who have ben lied to by FPL person and/or have experienced bad service on their part.

I am one. Reason has been discussed elsewhere on these forum.

I just think it's too bad that a company who saw great opportunities is doomed to fail because of such bad representation and poor quality of service.

Please tell your story.

Same here...they advertised free phone line...I got a working free phone line. They said 10 days when I ordered my SIP config...I got it in 10 business days.

So far, I don't think I had been lied to. ;)

They told me it will take 3 weeks to port my phone number to FPL...that, we will see! It should be ported by Sep 9 (3 calendar weeks after I submitted my documents).

I don't think FPL has ever lied. I know they might be slow at a time to respond but never lied.

Slight confusions between sales reps and small variations in expressed delays, but nothing to really complain about. I got everything setup faster than the promised delay. My home phone line porting happened quicker than expected, too.

My only complaints are:
- The ridiculous form to fill to have the phone number ported. It's badly scanned and should be a fillable PDF, not some weird scan I have to load in photoshop and write into it.
- The cost for phone line porting (25$) requires the config (50$) which I didn't get from reading the webpages. I guess clarifications there could be helpful, but I wanted the config anyway so it did not bother me. Had I only wanted to use the softphone and port my line, then I might have been deceived by that.
- My voicemail that was forgotten in the phone number merge. I assume they will fix that momentarily.
