How long will it take to transfer between ATA & Zoiper

Post by hxcanada »

I am one week old with FPL now. I purchased ATA configuration, and successfully applied it to Zoiper soft phone. However, when I shutdown Zoiper, and try to dial my FPL number, it does not route to my ATA anymore. I believe that it will take very long, and eventually get routed to my ATA, like the voice mail bug that I submitted last week. Could anyone tell me how long will it be? It's already 30 min. If it will take several hours to let incoming call back to ATA, I would rather not try Zoiper soft phone, because I cannot afford to leave such amount of time with no incoming not working.

From what I assume you are doing is you have your ATA set up, and also tried a softphone on the same account. When you started the softphone it stole the registration away from the ATA. Now you have turned your softphone off you will either have to wait for the ATA to try and register again (usually up to an hour) or what I would do is unplug the ATA for 30 seconds and then plug it back in again. This will start the ATA up and should get it to register again.
