Hi, I have a question regarding porting phone number over to FPL. Do I need to submit a recent phone bill along with the LOA or just the LOA is enough? After I receive the email stating that the porting process was successful, do i need to go ahead and cancel my phone company I was with previously or the porting process already take care of cancellation? I"m asking this because, I got two different answers when I call for support and don't know who to believe.
Thanks.

Re: Porting phone number over to FPL
Give freephoneline everything you can. Some telcos play hardball, and will use any loophole they can to delay porting. So cross every T and dot every I. That will ensure the porting process is as smooth as possible. And yes that does require printing something out, scanning it, and put a signature on it, then scan it again and email. Extremely convoluted and annoying, but that is the porting process, sadly.

In my case, after teh porting took effect, I called Bell Canada to terminate my account. The lady on the phone was thoroughly puzzled because my line was already cancelled, why would I want to call and cancel it again?
