FPL Down?

Post by evilmonkey »

Hi,

For the past few minutes, I couldn't dial out at all. I get a dialtone, dial my number, and nothing happens. I tried calling my FPL number from my cell phone, and got a busy signal. Given that FPL's mantra is "if all else fails, go to voicemail", a busy tone suggests to me that the system is down. If it is, is there an ETA on a fix? If it's not, what's wrong on my end? Thanks!

I confirmed the same on two separate FPL lines.
So it's not just you.

Okay, good (or rather, bad). To be more precise, I am getting a "408 - Request Timeout" error when trying to register on the trunk (I have SIP creds). Can someone maybe try with the FPL softphone? I don't have it installed here.

I do not have service either. I tested out my other VOIP providers, and they work. Hope it is a small glitch.

I have been down for a while tonight as well, in Ontario. This has happened a few times in the last week. Hope this is fixed soon.

We haven't gone down at all in the last week (except the interruption last night) - I believe those may be local problems to your setup.
Let us know if it happens again for you over the next week and we can take a closer look at your setup.
