Sorry I'm sure this has been asked a number of times already, but I just don't have time to sort through the forums, and a search is not coming up with clear answers to my question. The Support section almost answers my questions, but not exactly, in detail.
Situation is this:
I only have a cell phone and do not want to get a land line.
I just moved from Toronto to a small town that is not in the coverage area. Have signed up with Fongo and received a Toronto phone #, which is ideal as majority of LD calls will be made to and from Toronto.
If someone calls me from Toronto, either from a land line or a cell phone, do they need a LD plan, or will their provider charge them? If I call them on their cell from my Fongo number, do they get charged for LD?
Even though I'm not in the coverage area, I'm assuming I can call anyone in the coverage area for free and receive calls from coverage areas for free?
Thanks for any help!

Re: Newbie questions
When you are using the Fongo client, no matter where you are, even in another country, if anyone calls your Fongo Toronto number from Toronto, it is a local call for the caller in Toronto. So for most land lines in Toronto it is a free call, and for Toronto cell phones, it is a local call, which could be a free call depending on the cell phone calling plan.
With the Fongo client, you can call Toronto and most Canadian cities for free. It would probably cost you money to use the Fongo client to call a number in your small town, if not covered in Fongo's free calling area. The people in the small town would be calling a Toronto number, and would likely get charged long distance. You will never get charged anything for accepting phone calls from your Fongo client, no matter where you are in the world, or wherever the call is coming from.
