Fongo powers free calling solutions for a number of brands. This forum includes information and tips on all of those offerings. Note that your specific services may vary based on the specific Fongo product that you're using.
I purchased my configuration file and set it, my ATA working, i can make a call and received a call, but I can't hear anything and the other party can not hear me.
Typically, this is caused by incorrect port forwarding in your router.
Check your router's configuration so that it properly forwards all required UDP ports (check the FAQ, I don't know them by heart. In the section about audio problems).
I use my mobile Nokia N95 setting SIP, the same problem encounted, i can make a call and received a call, but I can't hear anything and the other party can not hear me.
When you use your Nokia phone, is it using wifi? If so, then the wifi is from your same router as your computer gets its internet from. Therefore, the same port forwarding requirements apply.
You have to tell your router what to do with incoming data from a phonecall. You use port forwarding rules to route this specific data to your whatever-device-is-acting-as-a-phone.
There's several dozens of different internet router brands and models, it's impossible for us to know how to program yours. I recommend checking the instructions that came with yours. There's always a section about "port forwarding" or "special applications" that tells you how to do it.
What you need to know from this forum is the ports to forward, which are: 5060, 5061, 6060, 6061, 13000 and 13001, all of them in UDP mode (you typically have the choice to forward TCP, UDP or both. In our caes, it's UDP only.)
I have the audio problem, but only when I call from my office (ip phone) to my fpl #. From fpl end, I can hear both ways audio but from my office end, I can't hear anything. But no problem if I call my office from fpl. Also no problem from/to my cell (rogers). Anyone know why?
I have trendnet tew-652BRP router and have 5060,5061,16383-16388 UDP setup in virtual server
I have the same problem. For the second or third time in the last month.
Specifically one-way audio for out-bound calls (I can hear who I called, they cannot hear me) and typically caller-ID shown to the called party is "OUT OF AREA".
