Want to RE join Freephoneline

Post by kvh »

After 4-5 years of using freephone line, my internet service provider highjacked my home phone service. I would like to go back to using freephoneline. Is there a way to reinstate my account or do i have to rejoin from scratch? I would like to keep my current phone number.

Did you buy an unlock key (config file back then)? If so there should be a way to get back into your account as it should be still active. Failing trying the password reset I would suggest sending in a support ticket to them if you cannot remember your login details.

If not your account may have been automatically closed (it does after 3 months of not using it), so the simplest way is probably just to start a new account.

As long as Fongo supports your current number you can port it in at any time, although I am not sure what you mean by your ISP has hijacked your phone service.

Thanks for your reply. When I changed my internet plan my ISP offered a deal if i signed up for a home phone. I though i would use it for the promotion period and just re-hook up FreePhoneLine after the 6 months. When I tried to hook it back up it wouldn't work. When i tried to log back into my account online, it said my phone number doesn't exist.

Yes I did buy a config file back then. Will FreePhoneLine port my phone number?

Did you port your number over to your ISP? i.e. is this the same number that you had with FPL? Or did the ISP give you a new different number?

I ported my phone number over to my ISP. It is the same number FPL assigned to me a few years back.
