Out going call shows unknown number

Hi there

Please someone's help will be greatly appreciated. My freephoneline phone was working fine until today but suddenly now when I make a call it doesn't desplay my number to party I am calling and shows unknown number.. Incoming and out going voice is ok. Incoming caller id also works. Only out going call shows unknown number to party who receive a call.

You need an old priest and a young priest. Have them gather together and pray to the gods of Caller ID your ATA, on the night of the full moon, and seven nights following. No one I have suggested this to has tried it yet, so I don't know whether it works or not, but this is the best suggestion I can offer with the information you have provided.

If that doesn't work, or it seems like too much trouble, tell us what equipment (modem/router/ATA) you are using and we will tell you the setting to solve your problem.

Internet modem Rogers Hitron CGN 2 and ATA is PAP 2 T. I am using it since 1 year with same setting and no problem. It started suddenly today. I tried to switch it off my ATA for 10 min and restarted but no luck

Check the User tab for Block CID Setting. It should be set to No.

If my guess is correct, you can prevent this feature from accidentally being turned on via a star code, by setting Block CID Serv to No on the Line tab.

Let us know if that solves the problem.
