No Incoming Calls
Incoming calls go directly to call answer. I've tried factory resetting spa 2102 and reprogramming several times. I've checked the settings on my account page. Settings are correct. All other features work well: outgoing calls, call message, etc. Any ideas? I'm going on 2 weeks without incoming calls.

Re: No Incoming Calls
From the FreePhoneLine.ca website, navigate to Follow Me Settings and set Status to Disable.
Navigate to Voicemail Settings and set Rings Before Voicemail to 5.
Please double check the User tab of your ATA. Be sure no Cfwd XXX Dest settings are configured, and DND Setting is set to No.
Please navigate to the Line tab of your ATA and set SIP Port to 29837.
Please try to use the Rogers proxy voip4.freephoneline.ca:6060.
Double check that Register is set to Yes and Register Expires is set to 3600 (as per the official guide).
Save, reboot, and test. If incoming calls still do not work, keep reading.
Try to use a different phone, and if you are using household wiring, connect the phone directly to your ATA.
Check the Info page of your ATA. Report the following:

Check your router's WAN IP Address and let us know the first two octets, keeping the last few numbers to yourself to protect your privacy.
Finally, let us know the model number of your modem and router.

ok. I did nothing more than generate the information you requested.....and now the phone is ringing properly. Did you solve it on your end?

Re: No Incoming Calls
No I did not. (I don't work for FPL.) If you changed the settings I suggested, it is likely one of them solved the problem. In any case I'm glad it's working.

Re: No Incoming Calls
Thanks Mango for the suggestions. Unfortunately, the phone is no longer ringing again. I wonder if the problem is with the ATA (Linksys spa 2102). Any ideas?

Re: No Incoming Calls
Mango,
I noticed something peculiar. When I disconnect the ATA and power down, my account still shows the ATA connected. In past years, when I disconnected the ATA, the account indicated the ATA offline.....but not anymore.

Looks like your device is loosing it's registration.
This can be caused by:
a) ATA device not being configured properly
b) Router issue
c) faulty network cable between device and router
d) ISP issue (internet connection is up and down)
In your case, I think it's either a) or c) but can be any of those 4.
Please check it.
regards,

Re: No Incoming Calls
Thanks Fongo Support. Here is another symptom. When I try to call my freephoneline phone from the same network (magic jack account running through the same router), my ATA shuts down and restarts.

Re: No Incoming Calls
I've tried changing cat5 cable, removed the router, reprogrammed the ATA (used Mango's settings), changed phones, to no avail. Still no ringing. In the next two weeks I'll swap out the ATA for another and give it a try. Any other suggestions?

Re: No Incoming Calls
I swapped out the ATA. Everything functions again. Looks like it was a failing Linksys SPA 2102. Thanks for the input. Cheers.
