Hello,
I was using my FreePhoneLine telephone # for a very long time. I got this # when I was living in Hamilton. Now I moved to Toronto. Whenever someone calls me in Toronto using this #, they get a message telling them that this # is a long distance telephone # but it's not. Can the support staff at Free Phone Line resolve this problem? If not, would I be able to change this # to a 647 #? If I can change this #, what would be the cost?
Thanks.
My FPL Telephone # is long distance but it's not

Here are the list of rate centres for which Hamilton is considered a local call: http://www.localcallingguide.com/lca_ex ... xch=154420 . I don't see Toronto on the list. That seems to agree with your friends who claim that your phone number is long distance.
According to Fongo Support in http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=18062, your number can be changed for free. The FreePhoneLine FAQ disagrees: http://support.freephoneline.ca/entries ... are-moving
