octtel sp4220

Post by akram »

Hi , I am able to make and receive calls correctly after configring my ATA from Octtel SP 4220. I have one problem with the inbound calls. My phone will ring if call is received within 30 minutes of ATA being powered. After that the light on the ATA blinks but there is no ring on inbound calls. I am not sure if this has to do with the configuration or some fault in the ATA (some circuit heat up but there is nothing blocking ventilation). I know it is not phone problem as I tried several ones already and same problem re-appeared. Can someone help?

Lower your registration timer.

Check NAT settings, lower NAT keepalive timer.

Hi, Do you mean than NAT timer affects only the ring or it affects logging to the server? I think my connection with server is active as I see the flashing light and if I lift the handset I can receive the call normally. It is only the ring that is absent. Do you still think it is NAT timer issue? I am not sure if I have this one set at all. Thanks

Sorry, I misunderstood. You're saying the call is making it to your ATA, just that the phone is not actually ringing. Weird. Then no, keepalive a registration I doubt would be the issue.
