Some softphone vendors will deactivate an account, losing the phone number and possibly credits, if an account doesn't make any calls or send any texts for some prolonged period. Does Fongo do this and if so what must a customer do to avoid this?
The closest answer I could find on this subject is in Deleting your account. This says that if you "don't log into the app or make any outbound calls for a period of 90 days, your account will automatically be flagged for deletion as long as you have not purchased any add ons (Credits/SMS Texting)." Assuming this also applies to deactivation for non-use...
1. Does running the Fongo app on your smartphone mean that you're logged in? In other words, is that all it takes to keep an account alive?
2. Do you have to purchase credits every 90 days or is any positive credit balance, no matter how old it may be, enough to keep an account alive?
3. Does buying the Remove ads feature keep an account alive indefinitely?
4. Does Fongo send out any alerts, e.g. e-mails or texts, to warn users that their account is about to be deactivated?

Re: Account deactivation after prolonged inactivity
You need to use (at least make one phone call from your) fongo app in 90 days or your account will be deleted.
Fongo usually sends an email to the user to warn them that their account will be deleted but many users (including myself) did not receive such notification. So don't take a chance, and make an outbound call every 80 days or so. I think it's worth this «little effort» from us for such a great and free service.
