[Oct 25] Inbound/Outbound Call Issue - Insufficient Funds

Post by FONGO_steve »

This morning a number of our users received an error when trying to make or receive calls (was different for everyone). The error stated "you have insufficient funds to call that destination".

The issue was resolved shortly after 10am - with a few small corrections being made up until 11:30am.

A few updates were being run on the tariffs, which inadvertently affected the softphone/ATA tariffs as well. We identified the source of the problem and have also developed an action plan to prevent it from happening again.

We apologize for the inconvenience this morning for those of you who this affected.

This is definitely unrelated then - do you have a secondary phone you can use to call our 800 support number for immediate assistance? That would be preferred - if not, PM me your number and the number(s) you're calling with the problem. Stick urgent in the subject so I don't confuse it with all the other PMs I have this morning.

Call forwarding still does not work properly.

I have 2 forwarding numbers defined. In the past if the 1'st # was busy, the call would automatically be routed to the 2'nd #. Now if the 1'st # is busy, the caller gets a busy tone.

Some of us had purchased a credit voucher. And during this period of time, several local calls have been charged as "North America" even if the calls could not be completed (0.02$ for each try). Is it possible to have a credit adjustment ?

Please PM me on an individual basis and I will investigate - I don't see a problem with it, however if it's only $0.02 I don't think the higher-ups would go for it. Worth a try though!

Good day to all,

I have quickly read the current posts and I am also experiencing an issue related to all of this.

The Issue:
People cannot call me, whether they are local or longdistance.
Upon dialing my number they are answered by: "This call is not covered by your current plan" (the little lady's voice). Now this seems like a bug since that lady is only supposed to give that message to ME (the cFPL client) when I am trying to make an unpermitted call. Now people calling me are hearing her... her voice is sexy enough, but it's annoying since i can't receive calls ;)

I can call without any issues.

I have the normal plan + Canada unlimited longdistance plan.
Today (monday 25 of october) is the first time I noticed the issue.

Steve, I am home now and called in to the support line. They were not able to resolve the issue and are waiting you to help.

Shaf77, could you please PM me your number. If these issues have been going on this long they are unrelated to Mondays issues.

My phone had been working fine other than the MWI issue, but all of a sudden today when I call my number I'm getting the "This call is not covered by your tarrif plan" automated message!!!

My wife is also getting the same message trying to dial out.

Seriously, this is not good.
Are there more upgrades happening today?
what's happening guys?

Thank you for your patience!
