FPL desktop app fails to connect

Post by limepickle »

Note to admins: Pls delete this post if it is a duplicate. I can't locate my earlier post.

I've registered with a new phone number with FPL and just installed the FPL desktop app to test it out.

However it fails to connect with the following msg.

"""
Status:Done
Results; Call service is OK
Data transfer: Unable to send/receive sound data! Port 13000 should be available.
Possible reasons: NONE
"""

I'm running Windows 10 as a local (non-admin) user. The admin account also gives the same results.
I've manually opened all the UDP ports recommended (5060-1, 6060-1, 13000-1)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Are you sure those ports are being forwarded from your router to the LAN IP of the computer you're using?

Otherwise, the only explanation I can think of is either a NAT firewall or software firewall (or windows firewall) on your computer is blocking UDP 13000, which is used for RTP.

You should probably ensure SIP ALG is disabled in your router as well. If your router was issued by your ISP, contact your ISP.
