I am logged into my desktop application on Mac OS. I am tyring to setup my voicemail...Soon as I click # after recording ..it hangs up on me. I've tried it quite a few time and always get the same results.
Also...second question...is there an iphone app that I can use?

I don't have Mac OS to test this on. However, with the Windows app I can't reproduce this issue. I don't know what would cause what you're experiencing to happen, unless you're calling your FPL phone number from a different number and leaving a voice message for yourself. From the desktop app dial *98-->3-->3-->2-->2 to leave a personal greeting. After recording your personal greeting, press #.
If there's a bug in the desktop app, I doubt a fix will be forthcoming since, as far as I know, the app has been out of development for years.
You can try submitting a ticket and asking if there's an issue with your voicemail account: https://support.fongo.com/hc/en-us/requests/new. Select "Freephoneline Desktop App"--> "my account inquiry" for the issue type.
Edit your post, and remove your FPL number to avoid receiving spam and telemarketing calls. Posting any phone number online is a privacy issue.Also...second question...is there an iphone app that I can use?
Support staff is not obliged to respond on these forums, and there is no free, technical support offered for Freephoneline, especially not for the desktop app.
This is a user to user support forum, so there's no guarantee even by posting your FPL phone number that support staff will read your post and look into your problem.
The iPhone app is called Fongo Mobile. However, you can not use your FPL account with Fongo Mobile. You will need to create a new account with Fongo Mobile, and you will receive a different phone number.
If you want to use your FPL account on an iPhone, you will need to pay $79.95+tax for the VoIP unlock key and also use a SIP app, for example, Acrobits Groundwire, and configure FPL on the app. Keep in mind that Freephoneline permits one device registration at any given time. Should you configure FPL on multiple devices, only the most recently registered device will ring for incoming calls.
Fongo Mobile supports SMS. FPL does not.
Freephoneline, Fongo Mobile, and Fongo Home phone are separate services.
