Someone emailed me asking for help. Sorry, but I'm not responding to emails nor private messages for technical support requests. I do not work for nor represent Fongo or Freephoneline, and no one else can learn from responses if you do not post on the forums.
Freephoneline only allows one device registration per account at any time. Only the most recently registered device will ring.
If you make more than 5 registration attempts within a 5 minute period, you'll end up with a temporary IP ban from the specific FPL SIP server used.
You can not use the FPL desktop app and your ATA simultaneously using the same FPL account. Furthermore, if the desktop app and your ATA have collectively made over 5 registration attempts within a 5 minute period, you'll end up being temporarily IP banned.
For issues with the desktop app, visit http://forums.redflagdeals.com/freephon ... #p26925939. Look at the second half of that post starting with the letter "A", and read all the way to the bottom.

Re: General Desktop app info
As a workaround for people who want multiple devices to ring from the same FPL number, you could always sign up for Fongo mobile (free) and have FPL simultaneously ring that number. That way, you can have a mix of hard phones (ex. a cordless phone base plugged into the ATA) and a softphone (Fongo the app on a smartphone/tablet). Of course, outgoing calls from Fongo would show that number, not the FPL one, but again, this is just intended as a workaround.
