This would most likely be an automated process, I can guarantee the communication between our departments is just fine as I personally oversee all of that.
At the point of sale, you are told everything. However you are also emailed with the instruction along with the letter of authorization to ensure you are completely aware of them before porting your number.

After fighting with 'Comwave" for months , I am happy to announce that my number is successfully ported to FPL.
