Just recently I noticed that I was no longer receiving any calls on my SIP with my FPL number. I checked on my Obi202 and noticed this error message that shows up:
Register Failed: 403 Username mismatch (server=208.65.240.44:5060; retry in 6s)
From what I can tell from the callogs on the Obi, the last time I sucessfuly received a call was on Jan 22nd - the day before the migrations occured. I'm pointing to voip.freephoneline.ca:5060 as my proxyserver.
Register Failed...can no longer make/receive calls.

If you've made no changes to your ATA, submit a ticket and ask for someone to check your account: https://support.fongo.com/hc/en-us/requests/new.
If no one responds to your support ticket after 48 business hours, provide the ticket number in a private message to Fongo Support: http://forum.fongo.com/ucp.php?i=pm&mode=compose&u=7852.
Otherwise, login at https://www.freephoneline.ca/showSipSettings.
Ensure you've entered the correct username and password in your ATA and that you haven't accidentally copied and pasted blank spaces.
SIP Error 403 means Forbidden. The server understands the request but is rejecting it.
Common reasons include a wrong username/password.
I've never seen "username mismatch" before, but that suggests a wrong username or password to me.
Freephoneline has been migrating to new servers, so it's possible there's was an issue when migrating your account.
Note that only one registration per FPL account is allowed at any time. When there are multiple devices/softphones using the same account, only the most recent registration is valid. The previous device will lose registration. Another reason for 403 errors with some service providers include trying to register multiple devices using the same account repeatedly or trying trying to register too quickly over and over again.
Freephoneline requires a 3600 registration period and 120 second failed retry timer. If you've used this PDF guide to setup your ATA fully, then you shouldn't be receiving temporary server registration bans: http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... 805#p73839. You can also try registering on voip4.freephoneline.ca:6060 to see if that makes a difference. I'm skeptical anything I've written in this paragraph matters due to the "username mismatch" error.
If you're going to reboot devices, reboot your router first. Wait for it to be fully up and running. Then reboot your ATA.

Thanks, all other previous methods of trying to fix it didn't work - so I opened a support ticket and I'll wait and see.

Well, support was a bit helpful. I disconnected my ATA and tried on a softphone app and I'm able to make and receive calls. Still have no clue why it doesn't work. I'll continue to debug..

Navigate to Voice Services --> SP(Freephoneline) Service—>SIP credentials
I would strongly suggest looking again at your Authusername and AuthPassword. Especially check to ensure you haven't entered blank spaces before or after your username or password.
Something strange is going on.
Take a look at http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... 09&p=76894, which is somewhat related insofar as the 403 error is the same.
1) What brand and model modem are you using?
2) What brand and model router are you using?
3) When this works with softphone are you on wi-fi or cellular data?
4) Dial ***1, and enter the IP address you're told into your web browser.
If you used the Obitalk web portal (http://www.obitalk.com) to configure your ATA (avoid using Obitalk's preconfigured Freephoneline profile), keep in mind that you must continue using it to configure your ATA. Otherwise whatever settings you change will eventually be overwritten by what you previously entered at obitalk.com anyway. If you wish to disable this behaviour, dial ***1. Enter that IP address into a web browser. Navigate to System Management-->OBiTalk Provisioning-->select Disabled for the method. Save. Reboot ATA. Now obitalk.com won't overwrite whatever changes you make via the device's interface (via IP address).
Pick one method (obitalk.com) or the other (IP address of device) for changing device settings. Never use both methods.
5) Ensure that Voice Services --> SP(Freephoneline) Service --> X_ServProvProfile corresponds properly to Freephoneline
SPx (where x is whatever number from 1 to 4 that corresponds with Freephoneline) Service-->SIP credentials is where AuthUserName and AuthPassword are defined.
Service Provider Profile is X_ServProvProfile. The ITSP Profile (under SIP) is where you define the proxy server where you're trying to register AuthUserName and AuthPassword properly.
If SP (Freephoneline) Service is associated with the wrong X_ServProvProfile, there's a problem.
For reference,
Service Providers -> ITSP Profile A is normally SP1 Service
Service Providers -> ITSP Profile B is normally SP2 Service
Service Providers -> ITSP Profile C is normally SP3 Service
Service Providers -> ITSP Profile D is normally SP4 Service
If none of that helps, I would get whatever my ISP issued me (if it's a gateway or hub) into bridge mode (so that router settings in the modem/router combo are completely disabled) provided I'm also using my own router as well. Then I would try (unless I have an Asus router) disabling SIP ALG in my own router. It's possible SIP ALG is mangling SIP headers.
Then I would reboot my router and wait for it to be fully up and running first, reboot my ATA and test again.
Having another SIP service working properly in the ATA is meaningless because not all SIP services operate in the same manner.
If that doesn't work, unless I can identify the setting that's causing the problem, I would perform a factory reset of the ATA, and use this PDF guide fully to set up my ATA properly with Freephoneline: http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... 805#p73839. 5921EX Firmware link can be found here: http://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php? ... 5#msg95325. Do not use Obitalk's precofigured Freephoneline profile. It can lead to problems (but not the one that you're having). Get Freephoneline working first. Then configure any other providers.
a2dahz had a 403 error with an Obihai 2XX series ATA: http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... 879#p74878.
Here is how a2dahz resolved the problem: http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... 879#p74881.
