Changed email, texts gone
I went to change my account email, and the moment I did and logged back in, every text was gone. Is this normal, and anyway to get the texts back?

Re: Changed email, texts gone
I can't say this is an issue that I'm anxious to replicate or test. I don't know the answer, and since I don't see another reply (yet), you might want to try submitting a ticket: https://support.fongo.com/hc/en-us/requests/new. Please let them know which OS version you're using and also the app version in the ticket.
Please do not send me emails; I do not work for nor represent Freephoneline or Fongo. Post questions on the forums so that others may learn from responses or assist you. Thank you. If you have an issue with your account or have a billing issue, submit a ticket here: https://support.fongo.com/hc/requests/new. Visit http://status.fongo.com/ to check FPL/Fongo service status. Freephoneline setup guides can be found at http://forum.fongo.com/viewforum.php?f=15.

Re: Changed email, texts gone
This FAQ seems to suggest that the texts will persist. https://support.fongo.com/hc/en-us/arti ... t-messages which unfortunately doesn't help you, but it does justify getting a proper response from your ticket.

Submitted a ticket 2 days ago, still waiting. It's Android 9 and 4.0.12.49 app version, but I'll reply to the ticket with that info if that helps.Liptonbrisk wrote:I can't say this is an issue that I'm anxious to replicate or test. I just read you can only register one device at a time, and this was on the same device. It logged me out, so did the app assume it was a brand new account or new device maybe?Jake wrote:This FAQ seems to suggest that the texts will persist. https://support.fongo.com/hc/en-us/arti ... t-messages which unfortunately doesn't help you, but it does justify getting a proper response from your ticket.

It does because I don't work for them, and they aren't obliged to read or respond to posts on the forums.pete_fpl wrote:but I'll reply to the ticket with that info if that helps.
Did you change your email address first by logging in at https://account.fongo.com/admin/settings/account/ ?so did the app assume it was a brand new account
If your Fongo Mobile number is the same, then it shouldn't be a new account.
Anyway, I hope you get a helpful response to your ticket.

Ya that's what I did because I couldn't find where to change my email in app. And the number is still the same.Liptonbrisk wrote:Did you change your email address first by logging in at https://account.fongo.com/admin/settings/account/ ?
