[Resolved for now] Linksys 2102 is down
My Linksys 2102 ATA went down yesterday morning (using freephoneline.ca). I can't make or receive any calls. Only two lights are illuminated, which is not usual. Is anyone else having this problem, or is it just an issue on my end?

Re: Linksys 2102 is down
Disconnected my Asus RT-AC66U B1 wireless router and connected my Linksys SPA 2102 directly to my modem. ATA connected to my Freephoneline.ca account. Looks like the problem is local and with my Asus RT-AC66U B1 wireless router. I'll play around with the settings. Any suggestions?

Asus RT-AC66U B1 firmware update solved the issue. Thanks to all!

Re: Linksys 2102 is down
If power cycling/rebooting the ATA doesn't help, and if registration status in the ATA showed that the ATA was unregistered afterwards, then updating firmware likely just temporarily reset a UDP timeout/NAT issue that developed between the router and ATA.
Always check registration status in your ATA
a) Dial ****
b) Then dial 110#
c) Enter the IP address you hear into a web browser.
d) Login to your ATA.
e) Always choose the admin login and advanced view menus (select "advanced" in the upper right).
f) Navigate to Voice tab-->Info tab-->Line (used for FPL) Status (this is not a tab)-->Registration State
Ensure your Line is registered.
It's unfortunate the Asuswrt-Merlin (https://www.asuswrt-merlin.net/) no long supports your router, which would easily allow you to adjust UDP timeouts to reflect what's written in Step D from viewtopic.php?p=78976#p78976.
Fresh Tomato (https://freshtomato.org/), however, appears to be supported: https://wiki.freshtomato.org/doku.php/h ... patibility.
https://wiki.freshtomato.org/doku.php/advanced-ctnf
However, I've never used Fresh Tomato. I suspect people can help you over at https://www.linksysinfo.org/index.php?f ... rmware.33/ with installation if you ask.
My suggestion would be to
1) ensure whatever modem/router combo your ISP gave you is in bridge mode,
2) disable "SIP Passthrough" in your Asus router or "SIP ALG" in Fresh Tomato,
a) Asus firmware
i) Log into the router.
ii) On the left, select “WAN”
iii) Navigate to the “NAT Passthrough” tab at the top (right).
iv) Disable “SIP Passthrough”.
v) Click "Apply".
vi) Reboot router.
or
b) Fresh Tomato firmware
i) Log into the router
ii) Navigate to Avanced-->Conntrack / Netfilter-->Tracking/NAT Helpers
iii) Uncheck the SIP box
(save setting changes)
3) use Fresh Tomato to make these changes in your router,
i) Login to router's web UI
ii) Navigate to Avanced-->Conntrack / Netfilter-->UDP Timeout
iii) Change "UDP Timeout: Assured" to 115 seconds if the failed registration retry timer in your ATA or IP Phone is 120 seconds for Freephoneline.
iv) Change "UDP Timeout: Unreplied" to 15 seconds if the NAT Keep-alive Interval in your ATA or IP Phone is 20 seconds for Freephoneline.
v) Click "Save"
4) and double check your settings in your ATA to ensure they are set to what's stated at viewtopic.php?f=8&t=20532, especially
F (probably doesn't matter after changing to Fresh Tomato firmware), 12, 14, 15, 16 (unrelated to your specific issue), 17 (all of it), 18, and 19.
In the future, if this happens again, try step 12 from viewtopic.php?f=8&t=20532. If that fixes the problem (temporarily, until it eventually happens again, possibly when your modem gains a new IP lease), the problem was either NAT corruption or UDP timeout related (which is why step 3 above is listed). Installing Fresh Tomato firmware likely depends upon your comfort level, so step 12 from viewtopic.php?f=8&t=20532 can be a temporary fix each time the problem arises.

Thank you Liptonbrisk. I'll give your procedure a try next time my Linksys SPA 2102 goes down. All is well for now.
