[Resolved] lost log in details for Grandstream adaptor
I have Grandstream adaptor with freephoneline number and have forgotten my username and password information. My phone was working fine all the time but recently incoming calls were going to voicemail only- so I did the reset button on the adaptor but now no service! How do I get my phone working again! Thanks

Re: lost log in details for Grandstream adaptor
In my opinion, you should have stuck with your Obihai ATA, which has more features and easily accessible troubleshooting information, unless your OBi200 died.
Anyway, next time follow these steps, step by step, down the list instead: viewtopic.php?t=20539.
That's normal. Pressing the reset button means reset the ATA back to factory default settings. You need to configure the ATA again.so I did the reset button on the adaptor but now no service
1) Login at https://www.freephoneline.ca/showSipSettings.
You need your SIP Username and SIP Password only. Everything listed under "Your SIP Settings" is not what's entered in your ATA. Those are just recommended settings for Linksys ATAs.

If you forgot your password and can't log in, select "Forgot your Password". If you don't receive an email with the information, check your online, webmail spam folder first. If you still can't find the email, you will need to submit a ticket to Fongo: https://support.fongo.com/hc/requests/new.
Choose "My Account Inquiry" for the final issue type.

If "Support System" indicates "Degraded Performance", ticket response time can take up to a week (or longer).
You can check your ticket status by logging in at
https://support.fongo.com/hc/requests. That's an account for tickets
(zendesk) only and is completely separate from your Freephoneline account or
any other Fongo account you may have. If you don't have a zendesk account yet, click "Sign Up" after visiting the link.
Use the same email address that you use to submit tickets. Do not use the same password as your Freephoneline
account. Again, these two accounts are unrelated.
Support staff does not respond to tickets on weekends or Canadian holidays.

Fongo does have https://twitter.com/Fongo_Support. I'm not sure if anyone
there responds to direct messages.
Similarly, they appear to be on Facebook:

2) Refer to https://support.freephoneline.ca/hc/art ... redentials
3) Visit viewforum.php?f=15, and find your ATA model and the appropriate configuration guide. HT-802 instructions will work for HT-801.
4) After configuring your ATA, double check your settings against what's listed at viewtopic.php?t=20539.

Re: lost log in details for Grandstream adaptor
Thanks Liptonbrisk.
This is for the friend who has Grandstream adaptor and who is not savvy with all the technical things. He didn't note down his log in details so this issue. I have sent a ticket with his tel number and other details but no help. Have sent the ticket with address and tel number and approximate year when he ordered with the pictures of the Mac address of the adaptor. Hopefully he gets log in details now.
I am happy with my Obihai.

Re: lost log in details for Grandstream adaptor
Okay, there’s nothing volunteer moderators and users on these forums can do to help. We don’t have access to accounts.
MAC addresses are unlikely to be needed for Freephoneline accounts, unless this person has a Fongo Home Phone account instead.
You mentioned Freephoneline in the original post.
In my original response, I mentioned how to check ticket status, and you can click on “Forgot your password”, as I mentioned earlier: https://www.freephoneline.ca/showSipSettings.

Re: lost log in details for Grandstream adaptor
At last we got the log in details for the SIP settings. Now Grandstream 701adaptor login doesn't work with password admin or 123. I did the reset again and tried again but
Sorry. Your Login Password is not recognized. Please try again.
What could be the password?
