port out fee?

Post by koreybray »

Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone has ran into this... The account I have is technically more than 90 days old, but i have only had the current number attached to it for just over a month. If i was to port out the currently number would it be considered over 90 days old or would that have reset when a new number was assigned?

To avoid the $25 port out fee:

This fee will NOT apply if:

The account is over 90 days old.

If you've spent $25 to port-in a number, you're fine regardless of account age.

"This fee will NOT apply if either:

The account is over 90 days old.
The account has spent more than $25 on FreePhoneLine Add-ons (World Credit, VoIP Key, or Number Transfer)"

I've been told the following:

"1) The account age is based on the original date of signup [not the duration a number has been ported into the account]. So this account would be more than 90 days old.

2) We score purchases based on products to determine a port out eligibility for accounts that are less than 90 days old. The $25 port-in fee reaches that threshold by itself. So in reality any ported in account will be able to port out [without the $25 fee]."
