Hi there,
I have some friends in USA and they want to get canadian phone # through freephoneline.ca.
Is it doable at no charge, will it work? Is there any IP check?
Thanks in advance

I was able to use the softphone from a hotel in California last summer. A coworker used the softphone from Thailand last winter...

Re: Freephoneline outside Canada
I had already installed and tested my account before my trip to Cali. But, my coworker needed to use the number in an emergency when he was in Thailand. He registered, downloaded and used the softphone from Thailand on the hotel's computer. So I would say it doesn't appear there are an IP restrictions.

You will have to have a Canadian phone number for the verification signup bit. I don't think they allow US number to be used for that bit so you might have to sign up for them.
