Low Volume on Receiver End
On some calls, the person I am calling reports low volume, while others report good volume. Any settings I need to change? Thanks!

Re: Low Volume on Receiver End
Hello Steve ... the setup I used was from the Device Configuration Sharing Forum. I followed the attached pdf file (ATA Config - Linksys PAP2T (02-24-10).pdf) exactly. I did not change a thing. Thank you for helping.

Re: Low Volume on Receiver End
Out of curiosity, have you tried a different phone on the adapter? It seems weird for different people to hear you at varying volumes.
On the regional tab of your ATA settings, there's an FXS Input Gain setting which can be used to adjust how much gain the ATA gives to the input from the phone. It might also be worth a shot seeing if increasing that will help any.

Re: Low Volume on Receiver End
Does this happen with ALL people you talk to? In addition to Steve's suggestions, you might want to try a different phone, or different people. Most calls for me sound normal (volume) except 1 friend of mine, for some reason it comes through REALLY loudly. I can literally hold my phone 6" away and it sounds just fine... (no, she's not yelling either!)

FPL-steve / Ice ... thanks for all your! I've been monitoring this (told the rest of the family as well). It only seems to be 1 number in particluar (Chatham calling Kitchener). Just odd!
