calls going staright to voice mail
I just hooked up my Linksys pap2 adapter with freephoneline. It was working fine. I set it up with the recommended settings and call quality was ok. I was playing around with the port forwardings and all on a sudden all calls started to go straight to my voicemail. I can't use the softphone either as its giving a port 13000 not opened error.
I disabled windows firewall, reset my D-Link router so that it goes to the basic settings, still its not fixing it.
- Then I again tried port forwarding 13000-13001 UDP ports to my ATA..not working..
I can make outgoing calls fine(from my ATA phone). Just all the incomings are going to my voicemail.
Softphone can not connect to the server.
Please help.

Re: calls going staright to voice mail
Your ATA is UDP ports 5060 and 5061 unless you've chaneged it - 13000/13001 is only softphone

Re: calls going staright to voice mail
This port is the SIP port correct?
I set my SIP port to 5060.
Then I am port forwarding 5060 UDP port to my PAP2 ATA IP.
Still the same issue. Windows firewall is disabled.
Can you call me to help?

Re: calls going staright to voice mail
Just for the fun of it, set the PAP2 to use a port like 6060 instead of 5060, and make sure the router directs that 6060 port to the PAP2. If you have 2 accounts on the pap2, disable one of them for the time being. Let us know what happens.

Re: calls going staright to voice mail
I have the same problem my ATA device is a SIPURA 2102 and I have two lines Line one is for FPL and the other is for Perusat which is a peruvian VOIP provider.
Incomming calls goint to my FPL line after the second ring the call goes to my voice mail. Interesting though in line two which does not have voicemail feature from the provider it can ring many times without problems. My router is a Dlink DL-624 and has the rules to forward the UDP ports needed for VOIP.
What Can I do to solve my problem?

Re: calls going staright to voice mail
Have you tried changing your codec negotiation method to not use preferred codec only, but prefer G729a?

Re: calls going staright to voice mail
I was having this problem for the last 2 weeks and there was no solution which worked but I accidentally did something which worked. I DID A HARD RESET ON MY ATA, SPA2102, AND ELIMINATED ALL CONFIGURATIONS AS PER FACTORY DEFAULT. I THEN SWITCHED OFF THE POWER TO MY COMPUTER AND ALL MY DEVICES. I THEN DISCONNECTED ALL MY DEVICES. I THEN CONNECTED ALL THE DEVICES WITHOUT SWITCHING ON THE POWER AND SWITCHED ON THE POWER ONLY AFTER THEY WERE PROPERLY CONNECTED. I THEN RECONFIGURED MY ATA AND VOILA, THE PHONE RANG SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE GOING TO VOICEMAIL. I USED FOLLOW ME SETTINGS TO OBTAIN THE NUMBER OF RINGS I WANTED BEFORE VOICEMAIL KICKED IN. Ironically, I discovered all this about ten minutes after talking with technical support. Everything they suggested failed to work and they suggested I look for the answer in this forum, LOL. I hope this information helps.

Re: calls going staright to voice mail
I have not had it work correctly yet! First no audio, then calls going straight to voice mail. I emailed tech support and carefully followed directions for setting the port forwarding.... When I call my FPL number, it is still going straight to voice mail. What else can I do? This is getting pretty discouraging....

It would help us if you could give a description of your equipment, and how it is configured.jamm777 wrote:I have not had it work correctly yet! Top reasons why incoming calls don't work (in no particular order):
1. Incoming ports 5060, 5061, 6060, 6061 aren't forwarded to phone device. Set basic port forward in UDP for these 4 ports to IP of the phone device.
2. Codecs are set in such a way that the call cannot be negotiated. Enable all codecs and set the preffered (or 1st in the order list) to G729. G711/PCM/uLAW/aLAW has to be enable to receive calls because FPL doesn't use G729 on incoming calls.
3. Phone device is not registering at server (check username, password, server address, proxy.) Also check registration retry delays, some ATA are set to very large delays (like hours, or even days). Outgoing calls are possible without a registration, but not incoming. Confirm at the ATA web administration page that it can successfully register before trying any calls.
That's on the top of my head.
