Outgoing audio not working

I use softphone with Belkin F7D1301 router and nobody can hear me. I call my landline answering machine to test. I set up the ports in my router under Virtual servers category and still problem there. I had other routers b4 and they had a port forwarding section in firmware. I guess router sucks? When I turn off router firewall then outgoing sound works. Running without router firewall sounds dangerous. Anybody know if that router can be flashed with better firmware?
