Incoming call logs

Post by TheHardy »

Just noticed now that for some reason, incoming calls to my softphone do NOT seem to show up in my online call log anymore! Even missed calls and calls where the calling party did NOT leave a voicemail used to show up in this log. For some reason, they seem not to be doing so any longer!

As we all know, the softphone is a little buggy, and if for some reason it CRASHES or LOCKS up during an incoming call, there is no way to find out what that calling number was (as of course, the incoming CALLER ID is broken!). When crashing/locking, the software's call log does NOT show the call either, so the only fall back would be the online call log ... which is now empty!!

Any insight? FPL-Steve/Kris???

Thanks!

Okay, it happened 3x today that the FPL softphone either froze up or crashed during an incoming call where I was unable to retrieve any caller ID information. This is extremely frustrating to me as I am currently looking for work, and using the FPL # as a means of contact!

Each of the three times I was doing something else on my machine (perusing ads, sending emails, etc) and when I hit accept on the pop up, everything sorta froze up. As I have stated before, I know the app is somewhat persnickity and if I am making outbound calls, I reboot and make sure that there is no other software generally running -- however, I do not have this luxury with INCOMING calls as I never really know when they are going to be coming IN! (Obvious)

So this latest little twist where the online call log shows NOTHING of the call, and the crapped software of course does not show it is really something of a P.I.T.A.

I have since uninstalled and reinstalled both the softphone and JAVA so hopefully the next incoming call will be OK ... fingers crossed.

Steve? Any magic on your end, even if MY online call logs are blank for these calls???

Thanks....

If you remember the exact date/time of the calls, I can check our end and see if anything shows up.

Has this happened again since the reinstallation?
