Hi zmi007,

Can i ask why you would want to change the password? As it is not something we would normally do.

I would find this useful as well since the generated password is hard to remember.

The password is readily available to you through your www.freephoneline.ca/ account or by calling our toll free technical support line: 1-866-515-5550

The SIP passwords are not something that we change for easy to remember usage (sorry)

I would have to suggest in that case to write down you sip password and bring it with you, or to bring your ATA device with you when you travel (best suggestion i can think of)

Allowing a non-generated password would increase the amount of compromised lines. As we all know, when most people are left on their own to choose a password it will usually be '12345' or 'abcdefg' :) By generating a random string of upper case, lower case and numbers we can have very effective security on the SIP credentials of our lines.

So are you trying to tell me that 'PassWord' or 'WoRdPaSs' are not secure enough?? :o
