On my SPA2100 Phone terminal I have my internet service provider DNS address (Primary+Secondary) in ROUTER-WAN SETUP-OPTIONAL
I used to have this device after cable modem, so it worked as router + DHCP server
Now I have another router connected to cable modem, and SPA2100 is connected after this router, (using a STUN server in setup, otherwise will not work)
Q1)Do I need to put anything into Primary & Secondary DNS fields ?
Q2)Do I need to put anything into Primary & Secondary DNS fields if I put it back after cable modem and before the router?
Thanks!
SPA2100-Primary & Secondary DNS ?

Re: SPA2100-Primary & Secondary DNS ?
It should not matter, but use google dns settings for filler. 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4jenom wrote:On my SPA2100 Phone terminal I have my internet service provider DNS address (Primary+Secondary) in ROUTER-WAN SETUP-OPTIONAL

Re: SPA2100-Primary & Secondary DNS ?
sorry about posting in a wrong place
meanwhile, I emptied the both DNS fields, ....everything is still good
perhaps it would make a difference, if it would be after the cable modem....but I am not going to do that
thanks for "bridonca" for info about using google's dns.....I am going to enter it now
