Fido.ca cell phones not connecting to FFL numbers

Post by qwerty »

I received a number of complaints recently that my Freephoneline phone number could not be reached with a FIDO issued cell phone. I was able to receive calls from a Bell cell provider.

Given that Fido is owned by Rogers, which is an even bigger cell phone provider, this could cause a big problem with a lot of people.

Anyone else is having this problem???

Thanks

Need more info on this ... FPL # (minus last 4) please .... ie: nxx-npa-yyyy (don't want the yyyy).

I have an issue with Telus MIKE phones having issues in Vancouver calling 778-801, 778-802, 778-803 & 778-805 FPL #'s --- they come up as LD calls, even though they are LOCAL calls. Telus is "working" on the problem, but it has been over a week, and they are still asking me for MORE information ... bloody hell, I sent them a 2400 word email with about as much detail as I can ....

The issue will be, in your case, with FIDO, and not with FPL. Whomever has the FIDO phone will need to make a trouble report to FIDO concerning it. Do NOT assume that Rogers will have the same problem, as their phones are still administered on 2 separate platforms for switching, rates&routing etc.

Plus -- what kind of errors are the Fido clients getting? Call Cannot Be Completed? Number not in Service?? Details, details details please!!
